Avaya Israel offices by D.S.Blay architecture

In the new offices of AVAYA Israel, located in Holon Azrieli Center, we were asked to generate flooring with a climbing wall element and tribunes, in order to create an Amphitheater setting, which will offer gathering space for all company' employees.

The flooring on three floors and a circular Auditorium of stairs, were wrapped all around in bamboo flooring boards. This element is the power center of the three-floor offices.

In this project we used the old classic method of flooring, by placing small floor ‘boards’ made from short solid bamboo strips, creating the specific industrial look, while the polishing and finishing are made on site.

Utilizing the Industrial bamboo flooring, we were asked to cover in addition to the flooring itself also carpentry items, air conditioning tunnels etc. all in the same material and method.

The significant advantage of working with this specific material, MOSO Industrial bamboo flooring, in this method, is the flexibility. It enables us to cover with the bamboo material also curved items and archways.

This parquet flooring, bamboo Industrial, is in fact blocks of strips bundled together with tape, connected together to create a flooring panel appearance.

The Bamboo Industrial flooring consists of small floor ‘boards’ made from short solid bamboo strips, creating the specific industrial look. The ‘boards’ are in fact blocks of strips bundled together with tape. The floor installer glues them on the subfloor and then sands off the tape, fills the gaps and finishes the surface. Being made of such small strips, the floor is very stable – making it the perfect solution for application on floor heating. This floor has the thickest wear layer of all floors: up to 15 mm.
