Few examples of lime based wall coverings. These are works I did with Venetian Plaster in the past.

I started working with these materials in 1986, in São Paulo, Brazil, to decorate the house of Adriana Adams together with Stephen Torton. We did some training in Florence, Italy first, with master Marco Cavallini and then took off to Brazil where we were invited to do some experimental work using this Italian traditional technique. Around that time, the use of lime plasters as wall covering in contemporary architecture was becoming popular in Italy after architects had been rediscovering this ancient and most common building material. The use of 'marmorino' and 'grassello' had gained an updated elegance after architect Carlo Scarpa had been using it in interiors in the 50's and 60's.

After about 9 months of work in different locations in Brazil (São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro) I did some work in New York with designers Stephen Shadley and Richard Gillette in the apartment of Hollywood actor Matthew Modine (1990); also worked with Stephen Torton and for the fashion club 'MK' designed by Eric Goode and partners.

I went back to Italy and participated in various interior decoration projects with local architects. Among them Sergio Allori, Vincenzo Amato and Iacopo Detti.

In 2001, I was invited in the US to Sarasota, Florida to train applicators and started a long-term collaboration working with contractor Kevin Walsh. In 2003 also with Walsh I did some extensive work in Bermuda Islands (Benbarra in Tucker's Town).
