Construction of a single house with a low-cost budget Catalonia / Spain / 2013
A very limited budget, in conjunction with the marked presence of the bordering ceramic walls led us to seek a solution for the building that would unite structure and finishing.
The house only has one floor, and the entire home is structured around a longitudinal axis, a wall made of a low-density type of terracotta brick on the basis of which the whole project has been developed. The visitor walks around the outer wall until reaching the main entrance, follows it through the inside of the dwelling and ends up outside. The ceramic wall has been left exposed without any kind of cladding, showing its color, texture and plasticity.
