These were the keys used in this Project to transform a conventional home into a singular space and suitable to the owner’s life.
From a very irregular floor plan, almost triangular, with a common aisle distribution with a corridor, We developed a Project based on geometrical games that come from the own intention to order the space; the original difficulty itself was the one that made us develop those shapes that give personality to the home.
As we are talking about a total remodeling, it gave us the opportunity to arrange the house and reconsider it from zero. Our aim was to créate three completely separate spaces; a common space that includes living-room/ dining room /kitchen, and two intimate spaces, a main suite that includes bedroom, dressing room and bathroom; and another suite, in this case for a teenager, with her bathroom and a study room annexed to the bedroom, and a Little terrace.
We designed the kitchen access in order to separate a visual semipermeable protection, which enclosed the space providing a sensation of bigger privacy and intimacy strengthened also for the light that emerges from the base.
The kitchen seems like the heart of the house, but with a discreet appereance at the same time. The island emerges from the floor, with the same ceramic material as the floor, on the working surface where the hob is integrated as well as on the side panels that are the same width as the tile size.
The idea was that the same Surface went over the space supporting the basic necesities of the house, walking, handling foodstuffs, having a shower… achieving a continuity between vertical and horizontal surfaces, visual as well as tactile.
Searching for this continuity, in the Surface constitution as well as in the size of the pieces, we found the possibility of working with the big size porcelanic (360cm x 120cm) that Neolith offered that suits our idea perfectly.
So, the touch and protection of the different surfaces was very important. Everything we touch or that touches us has to produce pleasant sensations, adapting easily to the season (we live in the Mediterranean and the feel of the ceramic floor directly with feet is a pleasure). On the other hand, the color of the porcelanic chosen was a light off-white that provides the luminosity the house needed due to the fact that it is located on a first floor, in this way the small quantity of light that comes in has an impaco on the floor and it is projected in the space, multiplicating it.
Another resource used was to compensate the size of the bathroom with a retro-iluminated ceiling and a mirror covering just the main Wall.
On the other hand, the importance we gave the wáter in our projects, mentioning that the taps installed in the whole house are from Grohe; in the bathroom we chose the Veris model, with the Rainshower F for the showers, combined with the handshower ICON- strawberry pink in one, and Rainshoer Solo model in the other one. In the same way, the toilets and bidets are from Noken.
In the Kitchen, GROHE Blue Minta, with the purifier filter, that doesn’t need an osmosis device instalation to obtain wáter of very good quality.

Estas han sido las claves del proyecto utilizadas para transformar una vivienda convencional en un espacio singular y adecuado a la forma de vida de los propietarios.
A partir de una planta bastante irregular, aproximadamente triangular, con típica distribución de pasillo, desarrollamos un proyecto basado en juegos geométricos que nacen de la propia intención de ordenar el espacio; la propia dificultad de origen es la que nos hizo evolucionar hacia estas formas que imprimen carácter a la vivienda.
Al tratarse de una reforma integral, esto nos permitió redistribuir la casa y plantearla desde cero. Nuestro objetivo era crear tres espacios completamente independientes; un espacio común que incluye salón-comedor-cocina, y dos espacios de intimidad, una suite principal que incluye dormitorio, vestidor y baño; y otra suite, en este caso para un adolescente, con su baño y con su estudio anexos al dormitorio y una pequeña terraza.
El separador que diseñamos para el acceso proporciona una protección visual semipermeable y acota el espacio proporcionando sensación de mayor privacidad e intimidad potenciada también por la luz que emerge desde la base.
La cocina aparece como corazón de la casa, pero con una presencia discreta al mismo tiempo. La isla emerge del suelo manteniendo el mismo material cerámico del pavimento tanto en el plano de trabajo donde se integra la placa de cocción como en los costados laterales que mantienen el mismo ancho del formato de baldosa.
La idea era que una misma superficie recorriera el espacio dando soporte a las necesidades más básicas de la vivienda, caminar, manipular alimentos, ducharse… consiguiendo una continuidad entre las superficies horizontales y verticales, tanto visual como táctil.
Buscando esta continuidad tanto en la naturaleza de las superficies como con el tamaño delas piezas, surgió la posibilidad de trabajar con el porcelánico de gran formato (360cm x 120cm) que ofrecía Neolith, y que encajaba perfectamente con nuestra idea.
Así pues, era importante el tacto y protección de las diferentes superficies de uso. Todo lo que tocamos o nos toca debe producir sensaciones agradables atemperándose con facilidad según la época del año (vivimos en el Mediterráneo y el tacto de los suelos cerámicos directamente con los pies es un placer). Por otra parte el color del porcelánico escogido fue un blanco ligeramente roto que proporciona la luminosidad que necesitaba la casa dado que está situada en un primer piso, de esta forma la poca luz que entra incide sobre el suelo y se proyecta en el espacio multiplicándose.
Otro de los recursos utilizados fue compensar el tamaño de los baños con un techo retroiluminado y un revestimiento mural de espejo justo en la pared principal.
Por otra parte, por la importancia que le damos al agua en nuestros proyectos, comentar que las griferías instalada en toda la casa son de Grohe; en los baños hemos empleado el modelo Veris, con el Rainshower F para las duchas, combinadas con las las teleduchas ICON-rojo fresa en uno, y el modelo Rainshower Solo en el otro. Así mismo, los sanitarios son de Noken.
En cocina, el Grohe Blue Minta, con filtro depurador de agua, que no requiere de la instalación de un aparato de ósmosis para obtener un agua de excelente calidad para el consumo.
