Slipped neatly within a row of homes at the edge of Monterey State Beach, the Del Monte Dunes House presents a crisp and modern alternative to the predominantly stucco and tile architectural styles of the area.

Materials for the home along this spectacular stretch of dunes were selected specifically with the dramatic Marine weather in mind.  The copper cladding that sheaths the entire structure will patina over time as it transitions from an initial bright and shiny lustre to richly textured greens and blues.

Framed views of the beach and Pacific Ocean are captured through floor-to-ceiling glass, while large sliding and bi-folding doors open up living spaces directly onto the sand.

The open floor plan provides unrestricted views through the house, creating a sense of transparency while the interior courtyard provides a private sunny escape shielded from the wind.
