Cutting a slice of the maximal volume in the south, we created a huge atrium and a series of
interesting spatial results:

- the park in front enters the building and the distinction between inside and outside almost
disappears

- the library opens to the city, inviting and welcoming visitors

- the upper floors maintain a strong visual perception of the atrium and park

- sunlight penetrates deep into the building

In a second step the volume has been pixelated, creating a series of garden terraces.
The side of the lowest floors exposed to the north hosts the storage, while the south parts host the adults collection. The next floors, with generous terraces, are the reign of teens and children. The upper floors, with smaller floor plans, great light and impressive views are the silent reading areas for adults.
Public areas are placed at both ends of the vertical volume: on the ground floor the lobby and
on the top a panoramic auditorium and roof top terrace with views over the city and the sea.
