The houses are grouped around a green inner courtyard common to all in the manner of the village green or the “Common”, as it was once called. The houses are plain and simple in design, reticent in form and expression. Diversity is achieved by varying the openings: room-high windows and structured ceiling strips articulate the façades. Prefabricated sandwich elements made of fair-faced concrete in a warm, earth tone add a sculptural character to the complex.

Gli alloggi sono raggruppati intorno a una corte a verde che ricorda il cosiddetto «Anger», lo spazio collettivo a prato al centro dei borghi di campagna. I corpi di fabbrica dal disegno essenziale sono semplici nella forma e nell’aspetto. L’unico elemento di varietà è dato dalla disposizione delle aperture, con il ritmo delle facciate scandito dalle finestre a tutta altezza e dalle fasce marcapiano ben strutturate. I pannelli sandwich prefabbricati in cemento a vista, di una calda tonalità che richiama quella della terra, danno al complesso un carattere scultoreo.

Die Häuser gruppieren sich um einen gemeinsamen grünen Innenhof, wie man es von Weilern bzw. dem sogenannten Anger kennt. Die Baukörper sind in Form und Ausdruck zurückhaltend und schlicht konzipiert. Vielfalt entsteht in der Variation der Öffnungen; raumhohe Fenster und strukturierte Deckenbänder gliedern die Fassaden. Vorgefertigte, erdwarm gefärbte Sichtbeton-Sandwichelemente verleihen der Anlage einen skulpturalen Charakter.

Les immeubles sont groupés autour d’une cour commune végétalisée typique des hameaux ou des prés dits communaux. La conception de ces bâtiments à la forme et à l’expression discrètes est sobre. La diversité naît de la variété des ouvertures : des fenêtres à hauteur d’étage et des bandeaux structurés rythment les façades. Des panneaux sandwiches préfabriqués en béton apparent, d’une teinte terre chaude, donnent à l’ensemble un caractère sculptural.
