School Health Promotion Centre
in collaboration with Créative Architecture Verviers / Belgium / 2017
The building connects the school site and the street by extending the existing buildings along the road.
The volume with its overhang facade gives an aerial impression. The only supporting elements are a glass wall and a set of fine columns. The main wood elevation worked atypically in wave brings a touch of sobriety and dynamism: it recalls the river, the basis of the city.
The visibility of the main entrance is enhanced by the volume recess as well as the grip of the look created by the Province logo: it is subtly integrated into the openwork wood siding.
Because of its thickness and colored background, writing and logo in carpentry change depending on the angle from which we perceive them, giving the effect of a hologram.
