The LUMINOUS COLLECTION explores interaction between light and paint.
The emerging relationship between light and colour transforms the painting unveiling patterns and shades not visible otherwise. The strength of luminosity influences what we see and what we don’t.
We used dimmable LED technology to allow for direct interaction with the work.
Adjusting the dimmer allows to choose the experience and ambiance you would want to create, while watching the painting transforming with changing luminosity.
What we wanted to achieve is an elegant and interactive artwork, beautiful during the day on the wall while transforming in the evening, adding warm glow that draws the eye. You can wonder endlessly through the piece and keep discovering new shades.
All colours and patterns are applied by hand, therefore each piece is unique.
This collection offers wonderful platform for custom commissions. From tailoring the size, shape and colour of the works to applying individual narrative the variety of possibilities invites for unique site-specific creation. Find out more on www.konvalinadesignstudio.com
