This sleek penthouse in Boston’s Back Bay was literally born out of fire: the building was struck by lightning, and the upper floors were completely burned out. H+A worked closely with the client on both the architecture and interior design, turning the fire-ravaged space into an open, modern home that supports serious cooking and entertaining. The serene space is punctuated with punches of rough texture from artwork and antique furniture, and a custom stair leads to a roof deck with sweeping city views.
