It is a process,
It starts with a textile - a light, transportable, and inflatable bubble, in the spirit of tents.
These can be brought from the city, or knitted/polymerized on site from hydrocarbons found in the desert.
This work can be performed by automated machines. These inflatable structures serve as templates to produce
the tubular shells.

Unfold the bubble and inflate,
Orient properly according to the wind,
Take the famous calcifying bacteria and mix with sand,
Extract some water from the deep layers,
Mix the bacteria + sand + water + hydrogel. Let the mixture react,
Wait overnight,
Project the mixture onto the inflatable bubbles,

Let the bacteria do their job,
Leave it to time,
Repeat as often as necessary,
When the desired thickness is reached,
When the shells are hardened,
When the wind brought enough sand to feed the bacteria,
When everything is cooked and dried by the sun,
You can deflate the form,
And start again, a little bit further.

Prepare the mixture to desired consistency,
Repeat again and again,
It is built as a patchwork...
We can make connections, assemblies,
We can forge connections above, below, which extend the length of the wall.

The catalyst is the bacterium
That will transform the sand to stone.

C’est un processus,
Cela commence par un ouvrage textile, tubulaire et gonflable, une bulle légère, transportable, dans la tradition
des tentes.
Amenés de la ville ou tricotés/polymérisés sur place par quelques machines à partir des hydrocarbures du
désert, ces ouvrages gonflables servent de matrice pour réaliser les coques tubulaires.

Dépliez la bulle, gonflez-la,
Orientez-la convenablement par rapport au vent.
Prenez les fameuses bactéries calcifiantes et mélangez-les au sable.
Extrayez un peu d’eau des nappes profondes,
Mélangez bien les bactéries + sable + eau + hydrogel. Laissez réagir.
Attendez la nuit,
Projetez le mélange au jet sur les bulles gonflables,

Laissez les bactéries faire leur travail,
Laissez faire le temps,
Renouvelez autant de fois que nécessaire,
Lorsque l’épaisseur voulue est atteinte,
Lorsque les coques sont durcies,
Lorsque le vent a apporté suffisamment de sable pour nourrir les bactéries,
Lorsque le tout a été cuit et séché par le soleil,
Alors vous pouvez dégonfler la forme,
Et la regonfler, là, plus loin.

Préparez le mélange jusqu’à la consistance voulue,
Recommencez, encore et encore,
Cela se construit comme un tricot…
On peut faire des connexions, des assemblages,
On peut tisser des liens dessus, dessous, qui s’étendent le long du mur.
