 Concept

Il design del letto Lett_(it be) nasce dal movimento grafico scaturito da una forma di L allungata, curva libera, una sorta di morbida linea che avvolge la persona in un virtuale abbraccio.

Il letto è luogo di riposo, di rilassamento, a volte un ritorno al calore e alla pace della nostra vita prenatale, luogo accogliente in cui idealmente ci rintaniamo quando vogliamo “attutire” i rumori della vita.

La storia della canzone dei Beatles Let it be, da cui nasce il gioco di parole che dà il titolo al progetto, racconta che a Paul McCartney, teso e nervoso durante le sessioni di registrazione del "White album", apparve la madre Mary in sogno (morta quando lui era piccolo) per tranquillizzarlo dicendogli "let it be", lascia che sia, lascia andare le cose, tutto andrà per il meglio.

Il nostro Lett_(it be) vuole simboleggiare questa idea di luogo in cui trovare la serenità, nel suo caldo abbraccio, lasciando andare le tensioni, lasciando che le cose siano come devono essere, perché tutto comunque andrà per il meglio.

 Descrizione tecnica

Il Lett_(it be) è realizzato interamente in legno, con una struttura in massello da 6-8 cm su cui viene collegato il piano con la testiera in tamburato di legno e le doghe. Piano e testiera sono rivestiti con impiallacciatura in legno di ciliegio, potendo comunque utilizzare anche altre essenze. La rinuncia all’uso di elementi in metallo risponde a precisi criteri di bioedilizia.

Il disegno della testiera, leggermente curvo e a rientrare, è pensato per potervi alloggiare due profili con strisce led per la lettura serale: l’illuminazione infatti sarà indirizzata precisamente sul punto di lettura.

Concept

The design of the bed Lett_ (it be) arises from the graphic movemen resulted from an L-shaped elongated, free curve, a sort of soft line that wraps around the person in a virtual hug.

The bed is a place of rest, relaxation, sometimes a return to the warmth and peace of our prenatal life, welcoming place where ideally we holed up when we want to "soften" the sounds of life.

The history of the Beatles song Let it be, that gives the title to the project, tells that Paul McCartney, tense and nervous during the recording sessions of the "White Album",  dreamed about his mother Mary (died when he was young) to calm him by telling him "let it be": let it be, let things go, everything will be fine.

Our Lett_ (it be) is meant to symbolize the idea of a place ​​where to find serenity, in his warm embrace, letting tensions go away, letting things be as they should be, because everything will be fine, anyway.

Technical description

The Lett_(it be) is made entirely of wood, with a 6-8 cm solid wood frame onto which the top is connected with the honeycombed wooden headboard and slats. The top and headboard are covered with cherry wood veneer, although other wood types can also be used. The renunciation of the use of metal elements meets precise green building criteria.

The design of the headboard, which is slightly curved and recessed, is designed to accommodate two profiles with LED strips for evening reading: the lighting will in fact be directed precisely to the reading point.
