grossery shop | Diana Petrous
Thessaloniki / Greece / 2013
This study is about the design of a small neighborhood grocery,
in Thessaloniki’s city center. The key goal of the design was the
functionality of the place, the unrestricted movement of users despite
the great need of space for the installation of products and
the creation of a friendly and warm environment in the neighborhood.
A mounting system for products from metal frame and
wooden shelves, resulting in blackboards and placed in the perimeter
walls, was designed. Furthermore, wooden constructions
were lined up in free space and a furniture for the cash register
by the entrance, was designed. Cement tiles were lined up
on the floor in “retro” style and the two exterior facades were
respectively redesigned.
