MM_house | Paolo Gasparo

This project is that I proposed to a young couple from Pedavena for their little house. The apartment, place on 2 floors, is inserted on a old residential building. The main idea was to put the sleeping area on the ground floor and, Consequently, the living area on the first floor, allowing the young couple to enjoy the wonderful view towards the Feltre's valley. Customers demand was to have a functional home, with some modern features but with some traditional appeal. For this reason I decided to use only 3 materials : wood, stone and white plaster. The space on the first floor is composed by a living zone close the windows overlooking the terrace, a big wooden table which is oversized if we think of the couple, but very helpful for dinners and for meet with friends. The main feature of this space is the block-stairs, which has a double function : stairwell and kitchen. In this way I was able to optimized the spaces, by making the environment nice and unique. A big stone wall close this space, masking the bathroom and the pantry.
