Completed in 2004, the Tanner Residence was one of the firm’s first completed homes. Raised off the ground by an array of concrete block pillars, the narrow home is a modern interpretation of the Florida “Cracker” vernacular. The home is located on the shores of Little Lake Otis in Winter Haven, Florida. One month after it’s completion, the home escaped the wrath of Hurricane Charley, Jeanne and Frances during an unprecedented tropical storm season.
