Located on a wonderful site at the edge of a salt marsh looking over Dundalk Bay towards the Cooley Mountains, the form of the house resolves the need for a sunny sheltered private outside space. It acts as a gateway building to Blackrock village, presenting an attractive façade to visitors as they arrive along the coast road from Dundalk. The house is rooted into its site with high quality cut stone and then made free with large amounts of aluminium windows towards the spectacular views. Copper is used to surround the entrance and also to emphasise the roof line.
