The site of this project is located on a district that is considirated by most people as prestigious. We believe this is an area with planning regulations too restrictive, even absurd. The project come from our will to show our disagreement. Our goal is to imagine a different architecture both recognizable and new to create a break with the rest of the skyline, a kind of architectural accident.

By its textures and colors, the project stands out from its surroundings. It will be easily noticeable and its architecture will be associated with the image of the Institute. Architecture becomes brand. The idea is to have a form that is totally free of planning constraints, a kind of flow drowned in greenery. Once the constraints met, it is now possible to deform the walls of the building. They also draw the overhang and the atrium. The external walls covered with red cement composite panels are interrupted by random openings that give project an impression of fluidity. For compliance with the specifications, the walls are arranged on mandatory alignments, leaving the building free.

These walls are made of glass for the north façade but also worked in grid on the western elevation and other rows walls. This double skin is a garden terrace allowing climbing trees and other plants to grow in large containers , thereby introducing greenery in workspaces in addition to protect the building from prevailing winds. The roof is completely planted, thereby increasing the inertia of the building and its energy performance.
