 The particular relevance was the redevelopment of "Nucifori" village in the Municipality of Saint Alfio, by Etna Mount slopes. The district is characterized by the roadway, with carved slabs stone in lava ancient  and the presence of the church of "Nucifori" with essential lines architectural . In the restructuring, it is treasured tradition, the lava stone slabs has been squared and hammered  with Extra Anticate style, playing in a modern style as well by the ancient splendor of the Sicilian paved. In addition to the village and adjacent to the most famous Etna area tree’s called Chestnut of the hundred horses. This area is undoubtedly the great naturalistic appeal of the territory of Sant'Alfio, and intervention carried out, all the elements are inspired by the history of the place, looking at all the ways to combine the aesthetic reasons with those without structural in any way to get out of the box while keeping intact the authentic appearance. The result is absolutely fantastic: thanks to the efforts of the designers and the workers skills, it is returned to the community a public space, accessible and fully integrated with the surrounding landscape.

Particolare rilievo assume la riqualificazione del Borghetto di “Nucifori” nel Comune di Sant’Alfio, alle pendici del Vulcano Etna. Il quartiere, si caratterizza per l’asse viario, con lastre di pietra lavica anticamente intagliate e per la presenza della chiesa di “Nucifori” dalle linee architettoniche essenziali. Nella ristrutturazione, si è fatto tesoro della tradizione, impiegando perciò la pietra lavica in lastre squadrate e Bocciardate Extra Anticate, riproducendo in chiave moderna, l’antico splendore dei lastricati siciliani.Inoltre il Borghetto è adiacente all’albero più famoso del comprensorio etneo: il Castagno dei Cento Cavalli.Esso costituisce indubbiamente il grande richiamo naturalistico del territorio di Sant’Alfio, e nell’intervento effettuato, tutti gli elementi sono ispirati alla storia dei luoghi, cercando in tutti i modi di coniugare le ragioni estetiche con quelle strutturali senza in alcun modo uscire fuori dagli schemi mantenendo integro l’aspetto autentico.Il risultato è sotto gli occhi di tutti : grazie all’impegno dei progettisti e all’abilità delle maestranze, si è restituito alla collettività uno spazio pubblico, fruibile e perfettamente integrato con il paesaggio circostante.
