El Cercle, the newest restaurant by renowned Catalan chef Albert Ventura, is located in the medieval palace of the Reial Cercle Artístic. Traditional Catalan cuisine with a modern twist is offered at La Biblioteca. At Les Quatre Estacions punters can enjoy traditional tapas and at La Barra visitors can sample modern Japanese cuisine. Overlooking the historical buildings and Barcelona’s bustling city life, the El Jardi roof terrace provides the option of enjoying culinary delights al fresco. El Cercle was designed by architect and interior designer Alfredo Arribas. Reial Cercle Artístic was initially established to provide funding for painters who needed models. Today, the historical structure houses exhibitions and music events, among other things, and members can use studios, workshops and a library with a comprehensive art books collection.
