This small 50mq flat refurbishment turned a studio flat into a one bedroom flat, maximizing the double height available space and exploiting the qualities of a typical Victorian terraced house. Maximum attention was given to the choice of materials and to the finishing of both the details and the furniture design. The material palette chosen, inspired by the qualities of the Northern light in a wood, exploited and favored mat, light and rough solutions with clean finishes like the Norwegian luna larch floor, the coarse uneven stone wall for the bathroom and natural linen fabric for the sofa and the bed structure. Furniture design was also included in the project.
