The project is founded on a mithic idea: build an artificial hill, a sort of contemporary ziggurat,

like a strong sign on the landscape. An “ holy hill” where  is possible to find the wine - world

symbols in a metaphysical view.

For this reason the building is imagined like a ground elevation to get closer to the countryside.

In other words the new wine culture center is  a great  square shaped stone, monolithic, and

digged inside.

The interiors are obteined by subtraction of the volumetric mass, evoking historical caves.

So we have a system of spaces, composed with different geometrical shape and heights along

linear strips, to caracterize the differents requires of the functional program.

The building is crossing, inside and outside, by aeral way where is possible to see, from a panoramic

point of view, the most interesting parts of the interior spaces, the wine production and the environment.

The materials and the techniques used are based on sustenibility principles: fronts elevation are

covered with panels in local stone, a green roof,  solar panels and natural ventilation for the

interior spaces.
