The place’s choice is determined by the urban vocation owners.
A quiet street, almost no traffic, located in Raval neighborhood of San José of Elche.
The plot size is 7x10.50m, in a street width of 4 meters.
Tripartite and complex collaboration: Maite (the owner), and Javier and Ángel (authors of the
project, and one of them is another owner). The first decision is to build the “sideway glance”:
the facade is pierced with minimal windows necessary to comply with the habitability rules.
These windows let to take a look along the street. The living is inside the house and a big patio,
with the same dimension than the width of the street, becomes the true soul of the building
and the most important place, allowing sunlight bathes the interior.
The realization becomes thanks to an Angel’s selfconstruction process. The economy takes an
important part according to the materials choice and also to the Angel’s catalog-portfolio that
take part in his ideas. The imagination is the main implement and the details become to the
simplicity of the work.
