The Mikkeller & Friends bar and bottleshop is designed and decorated by RUM4 & Studio-K.
Our idea and thoughts was to rethink the idea about a classic ølhalle / bierstube and create a contemporary ølhalle with a modern Scandinavian feel.
Our idea was to create an informal, masculine and intimate atmosphere with a slight feminine touch, using untreated plywood for the bar front, drinking cabinets and free standing tables and benches and as a contrast using different turquiose colours for floors, walls, ceilings and the laminated barcounter.
All interior for the bar - the bar itself, tables, benches, cabinets and lights is custom made by RUM4 and Studio-K, even the massive draft wall offering 40 beers on tap is custom made for the bar.
