Palazzo del Lavoro, exhibition structure designed by the engineer Pier Luigi Nervi and architect Gio Ponti, was completed in 1961 as part of Italy 61, on the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of the Unification of Italy. It was the most important building in Turin tied to exposure: with an area of 25,000 square meters and the impressive 16 time resting on concrete pillars 25 meters high, each of which holds a 'mushroom' metalwork square the side of 38 meters. Since then, initially used for exhibitions, was gradually abandoned, due to the high costs of operation and maintenance, to fall in the current total degradation, as you can easily see who passes near.
