55 sqm apartment in Tel Aviv
The living room that was at the other end of the house moved to the old bedroom and thereby created a large, bright and well used space.
Between the kitchen and the living room i have planed a low wall with rotating TV element so the tenant could watch TV either way.
In the front face of the wall towards the living room I created a niche for the wall cabinet that makes it stand out as little as possible, On the other side of the wall I placed an island including 4-5 seats
The old porch transformed into an intimate bedroom and a horizental constructive beam crossed the space which was very chalenging in terms of lightning design. The vertical beam which definded the porch was the reason for creating a purple niche at the head of the back. That’s a classic case when disadvantage becomes an advantage.
