Linea TAKE (dal giapponese: bambù) caraffe e bicchieri in vetroborosilicato lavorato a mano La prima nata della famiglia TAKE è la caraffa da 75 cl, frutto del principio autoimposto decorazione=funzione. Il progetto mirava alla creazione di oggetti da usare, oggetti in cui la valenza estetica non superasse la funzione, ma al contrario, ne fosse d'ausilio e di supporto. Gli anelli che segnano il corpo della caraffa e che ad un primo sguardo possono sembrare mere decorazioni, sono anche strumenti di misura del liquido contenuto e al contempo aiutano a tenere salda la presa. Il primo anello indica i 25 cl, il secondo i 50 cl e l'ultimo anello i 75 cl, ossia il corrispettivo di una comune bottiglia di vino. Sono realizzati a mano dal maestro vetraio che prima scalda il corpo di vetro e poi lo fa scivolare verso il basso, realizzando con precisione delle vere e proprie nervature sulla superficie del cilindro. Il corpo segnato da tali “piegature” evoca il tronco del bambù ed è perseguendo questa suggestione che è stato disegnato il taglio del beccuccio, così da riprendere le fontane giapponesi con il braccio basculante in bambù. Quel braccio che cade ritmicamente sotto il peso dell'acqua e che cadendo batte sulla pietra sottostante per creare quel caratteristico suono che ha la funzione di allontanare i corvi. Di nuovo decorazione=funzione.

The rings that mark the body of the carafe, and that at first glance may seem like mere decoration, are actually measure of the liquid content and at the same time help to keep a firm grip. The first ring marks the 25 cl, the second the 50 cl and the last ring indicate the 75 cl, ie the content of a common bottle of wine. They are made by hand by the master glassmaker, who first heats the glass body and then slips it down, realizing with precision the ribs on the surface of the cylinder. The body marked by such "folds" reminds the trunk of bamboo and it is in pursuing this suggestion that has been designed the nozzle cut, so as to resume the Japanese fountains with the arm swinging bamboo. That arm falls rhythmically under the weight of the water and dropping beats on the stone below to create the distinctive sound that has the function to remove the crows. Once again decoration = function.
