An urban structure consists not only of its shape and its planimetry, but also of a well-crafted complexity of its elements with spatial and meaningful relationships. A post-quake reality like Crevalcore needs projects that are in relationship between them and with the context, generating a sort of contextual framework. The pedestrian flows, developed in the arcades, are reinterpreted, becoming an inner urban street through the new buildings.
Great importance is given to the Theater; the Auditorium, born in front of it as its natural continuation, is a new spatial form, breaking the rigidity suggested by the city structure: the Roman Castrum. The project also offers craft shops, media library and research laboratories: activities that can redevelop the urban and society fabric of the city.
