This new arrangement requires re-thinking - both at the programme level and the actual design. The solution in the case presented here (VMware offices in Herzliya Pituach), was to create a three-dimensional system - that entailed much of the design work at the vertical section level, parallel to the horizontal plan. Mostly without windows to the outside, the interior is defined by glass walls, allowing natural light penetration. This required a selective blurring of the glass, to ensure privacy in the work spaces, while preserving reasonable visibility between employees. The outcome is a fairly well-lit open space, providing a friendly atmosphere throughout the office. The company color palette is used to connect the different spaces located on three separate floors
