Less than a year ago I decided to work and think with HANDS, without any other intention than being happy. Even when I was studying architecture I always needed to work with models, building the spaces in a small scale with my own HANDS. Nowadays, I build what I think by myself. In architecture, this is quite difficult, if not impossible. I have always felt attracted by the beauty of natural and traditional materials. Therefore, I try to work these materials in a contemporary way. In ceramics, I am currently interested in textures, expressiveness and character that each of the pieces provides. I like the expressive possibilities of clay, its plasticity. It is very attractive being able to shape something that has not (shape). My work responds to the need to materialize my interests and surround myself with objects made by my own HANDS. Objects remain, while ideas and intentions change along time, even disappearing. I have always believed in the ability of objects to convey emotions, tell stories, talk. Thus, my objects define me, they talk about me. The Mediterranean is my life, my habitat. I need the vivacity and intensity of its light. I need shadows, and its changing forms. I cannot understand life, and therefore my work, without its rich illumination.
