A proposal for the design of a pavilion in the gardens of the museum of childhood in Bethnal Green. The brief was simply to create a pavilion based around the theme of 'dream'. In the liminal space somewhere between the real world and fantasy world exists our dreams. The pavilion formalises this liminal space and provides a weird, warped and wonderful environment for a casual daydream or or contemplative sit down. Soft furnishing bubbles up inside the space and fabric stretched between the roof and floor distort the space and provide smaller spaces to crawl in, over, through and around. By night the pavilion emits a soft glow from within the fabric tendrils and provide a beacon within the park.
