Beerbacco

L’incarico assomiglia ad una sfida, lanciata dai quattro soci che si apprestano ad avviare la loro prima attività: realizzare un luogo funzionale e conviviale, teca per birra e vino con un budget molto ristretto.

Il progetto nasce all’insegna del recupero, lasciando inalterato e nudo l’involucro interno contraddistinto da spesse murature portanti e utilizzando soluzioni e materiali economici ma gradevoli e funzionali: nascosta la zona tecnica dietro il grande muro di spina centrale, gli spazi sono disegnati da mensole in legno grezzo a profondità variabile, da luci basse appese a linee di colore che spiccano sui fondi neutri delle pareti e dal bancone, fulcro del locale, rivestito con una pittura lavagna. Sopra il filo dei tavoli in legno chiaro, assolute protagoniste le bottiglie, in bella mostra alla stregua delle vecchie osterie milanesi. Tutti gli arredi sono stati realizzati su disegno.

The job looked like quite a challenge; launched by four partners who were looking to start their first business together: the aim was to create a functional and convivial social space serving beers and wine complemented with small plates of food – all on a very tight budget.
The project was born out of the concept of ‘recovery’; leaving intact and bare the inner shell of the building, distinguished by thick and load-bearing walls, and using economical solutions and simple but aesthetically pleasing and functional materials.
Once the technical area had been hidden behind the great wall in the centre of the main room, the remaining spaces were created from raw wooden shelves of varying heights. Pendulum lights were hung from coloured cables as a contrast against the neutral base of the walls and the bar to create the real fulcrum of the room, surrounded by walls covered with whiteboard paint.
Above the rows of light wooden tables, the real stars of the show are the illuminated bottles, on display such as in the old taverns of Milan. All the furnishings were custom-designed.
