With in the heart of Knightsbridge in central London, Matteo Fantoni Studio, has been working on a Listed Victorian 6 storey House at n 5 Montpelier Sq. All thought tight planning restrictions, Planning Approval has been granted, achieving a complete new rational internal distribution, a new rear extension and allowing natural light distribution to all spaces . The family house develops with a variety of “Social” and “Family” spaces organized around the main original stair as a distribution focus. Natural oak paneling ,full height slatted oak sliding screens and doors ,black steel fire places, are designed with flush minimal but robust detailing creating a clear and strong dialogue between the original “fabric” and the new refurbishment of the property. Every room and space has special, custom designed and built cabinets. The artificial lighting scheme and all lose furniture have been also thought and selected carefully in great harmony with the whole project.
