Pierre-Marie Agin Born in 1982 in Nogent-sur-Marne (France) Lives and works in Paris. Pierre-Marie Agin started to work free-lance under the name of Pierre Marie while still pursuing his art studies in which he specilaizes in typography, graphic design and drawing. His early and daily practice of drawing lead him first to design exclusive prints for two artist's t-shirts collections for Agnès b. During his studies, Pierre-Marie befriends and works with exciting fashion designers of his generation such as Mélodie Wolf, Yazbukey, Romain Kremer and Bernhard Willhelm. Through these encounters, Pierre-Marie extends his knowledge in the fashion field and nourishes his acute sense of style. Concurrently he collaborates on various projects with prestigious brands and institutions such as Sonia Rykiel, Issey Miyake, Veuve Clicquot, l'Opéra National de Paris and the Yvon Lambert gallery. These collaborations were published in various publications and are part of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris collection. His expertise also led to an invitation to lecture at Cal Arts in 2006. 2008 is the start of his long-lasting and prolific collaboration with Hermès. Following his encounter with Bali Barret, he designs several of the brand's emblematic 'carrés' (l'Ombrelle Magique, Dame de Cœur, Point d'Orgue, Le Laboratoire du Temps, Les Trophées…) and designs prints for the ready-to-wear line designed by Christophe Lemaire which makes Pierre-Marie is one of the youngest active designers of Hermès. At the same time, Pierre-Marie closely works with the perfume company Diptyque to develop drawings for a range of perfumes and scented candles. Pierre-Marie distinctive drawing originates from his constant research in ornate and narrative imagery and takes his inspiration in nature, history, folklore or animated movies.
