Born in 1952, Olivier Gagnère is a self-taught designer of ceramics, furniture, glass, interior design, metalwork, and product design. His clients include Bernardaud, Cartier, Christian Dior Parfums, Cristallerie de Saint-Louis, Fourniture, Fukagawa Porcelain, Galerie kreo, Galerie Maeght, Lancôme Parfums, and Van Cleef. In 1983, he received an Appel Permanent grant from the VIA (French Furniture Association); in 1990, the VIA awarded him a Carte Blanche grant. In 1998, he was declared Creator of the Year at Maison & Objet, Paris.
