Born in Durango, Mexico in 1976, he completed his undergraduate Architecture studies at ITESM, Campus Monterrey. He finished his Master of Landscape Architecture studies at the University of Arizona.
He has received Academic Awards in Design Excellence from ITESM and the University of Arizona, as well as a Certificate of Merit for Excellence in the Study of Landscape Architecture from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
