Mette Kynne Frandsen is the Managing Director of Henning Larsen. Mette joined the executive management of Henning Larsen in 1998, and before that, she was employed as architect and project manager since 1993.

Mette’s sound competence in managing a creative and innovative company working on a global scale has positioned Henning Larsen as a leading architecture firm internationally recognized for balancing design excellence, sustainable objectives, and professionalism.

During her tenure as CEO, Henning Larsen received the prestigious Mies van der Rohe award for the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavik. Furthermore, she has developed Henning Larsen’s new role as a driving force in concept and idea development and for the financing of projects.

In recognition of her ability to combine elite leadership skills with insight into creative and international businesses, Mette has been invited to join the board of many leading and major Danish organizations within both the private and public sector.

In 2017, Mette was named a Top 100 Female Executive in Denmark by the newspaper Berlingske and the same year, she was listed as one of 30 Must-Know Women Architects by international architecture magazine, Azure.

In 2019 she was bestowed the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Dannebrog by Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II, in recognition of her long-time effort to promote and strengthen Danish architecture and the Danish creative industry.
