Born in 1974 in Moscow Maria Serebrianaya is a skilled professional of architecture and interior design with more than 15 years of working experience. According to a family genealogical research, among Maria’s ancestors there are many famous patrons of arts, icon painters, and a famous antiquary bookseller. Maria always had great respect and interest to her roots and she is greatly influenced by magnificent Russian culture in her style and work. Among her favorite writers there are Chekhov and Bulgakov, who to Maria’s opinion “are genially laconic and in the same time precise in details”. In 1997 Maria graduated with excellence from Moscow State Architectural University, where she afterwards lectured Architectural Designing at the Restoration and Reconstruction Department. She is a member of Russian Professional Association of Interior Designers and Architects. Maria Serebrianaya is recognized by professional community, she received numerous nominated and won several professional awards. After several years of independent practice as an architect and designer, Maria Serebrianaya become a co-founder and Managing Partner of DOM-A Design Bureau, which has designed over 100 interior projects in Russia and abroad. Among Maria’s works there are hotels, restaurants, State residences and also dozens of private apartments and villas. Being a wife and a working mother of 3, Maria considers an ideal home as the one that combines sophisticated décor and easy-to-live environment in a very practical way. Often lacking ready-made interior items corresponding with her creative ideas, she started to design one-of-a-kind furniture and interior items herself to embody exclusive and functional designer objects, following her personal motto “Once there is a wish, there is a way”. Years of experience brought Maria to the idea of creating her own collection of furniture and in 2012 she did it for Visionnaire interior brand. Knowing well expectations of the most savvy luxury consumers she designs her items in attempt to reach an ideal balance between beauty and comfort.
