I studied music, literature and anthropology to become a designer. I’m a graphic artist and a designer – these surprises are one of the reasons life is so fantastic My education made an intellectual of me, so my design approach is different from that of someone who did specific, design-related studies. Studying people made me alive to the currents of taste and thought. Music gave me a sense of the essential harmony in designing. I love art in any form because it gives shape to ideas. Ideas move Man. I love drinking coffee outdoors on a spring morning. I love paper which can be filled with signs, words, objects. I love colours, they enable you to give force to creative expression. I love friendship. I had two special friends, Alfredo and Vincenzo. They’ve passed on, but they’re with me every day. They taught me that the heart is immensely hospitable. I have a wife and three children. Every day they express their love for me, in gestures or words, which amaze me. I have a precious friend, Nadia, an invaluable interlocutor. I’ve been lucky enough to meet many generous clients who allowed me to turn ideas, dreams or hunches into designs and, ultimately, to see them realised. Among them, I’d like to thank above all Luigi and Paolo Bestetti. I’ve worked with them, laughed, travelled, argued and built with them. And I found true friends. I abhor traitors, cowards and people who don’t take on responsibility, people who flee and abandon those in trouble. I love drawing and designing, giving shape to ideas. I love observing everything around me and learning from anything. After working with Atelier Alchimia and Aldo Cibic, and acquiring a solid design experience, I founded Milisich in 1992. Over the course of my career I have, and still do, develop product or communication projects for numerous companies. My work includes: Stands for Italian and international trade fairs, including the Milan International Furniture Show, KölnMobelMesse, Interzoom, La Mia Casa and Macef. Designs for Baxter products, being closely involved in the choice of materials and in general design co-ordination, as regards the product itself and product image. Developing co-ordinated images and designing trade-fair stands and retail outlet concepts, including Lema, MisuraEmme and Rapsel. Cargo-HighTech image and communication, plus the design of some of its sofas.
