Lorenzo Pagnamenta is a founding partner and design principal of Pagnamenta Torriani Architects Planners LLP (APT), a New York-based Atelier and international practice.
He is an expert in the development of sophisticated design geometry, and brings an artistic flavor to the studio’s projects, having previously been involved in the art world as a painter.
The studio’s design are well informed by his multidisciplinary experience, resulting in holistic architecture that unites all components and advanced technologies to deliver harmonious spaces with original vision.
Lorenzo leads the studio’s design systems, technology, sustainability and project direction aspects of the practice.
He led the award winning Mariners Harbor Branch Library building and manages multiple school projects in New York City, including a series of transformative library spaces designed by APT.
Lorenzo has presented nationally and internationally at the: AIANY Center of Architecture, Fondazione Querini Stampaglia in Venice, Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne and USI in Lugano among other venues.
He served on the Board of the Swiss Institute of Art in NYC and AIA NY’s Design Award Committee.
Lorenzo is a registered architect in New York State, in New Jersey, in Connecticut, in Switzerland and is a graduate of the ETH-Zürich.
