Jeremy Pyles
Jeremy Pyles studied Fine Art in the University of Texas at Austin where he discovered his love for photography and lighting. In 2003 he created Niche Modern. Frustrated with the lighting options available for their Manhattan home-furnishings shop, he and his partner Mary Welch came together and created the hand-blown pendant called the "Stamen". Their light fixture quickly became the store's most coveted item and in 2005, they debuted a line of 10 different lights at the ICFF, ranging in shapes from flattened spheres to bell jars. Today there are over 20 different pendant shapes, and a variety of chandeliers, each one designed by Jeremy and thoughtfully brought to life through a complex and thorough development process.
