Jair Strashnow and Gitte Nygaard have been living and working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands since 1999. They both run independent studios and have been working together on various projects in public space all over the world - Johannesburg, Durban, Rio de Janeiro, Brussels and Amsterdam to name a few.
In 2009 they were nominated for the Rotterdam Designprijs for their project for street children in Durban, South Africa. Jair was the winner of the furniture category of the Brit Insurance Designs
