Gregg Garmisa
One of Studio Gang’s earliest collaborators, Gregg ultimately joined the senior management team, bringing his vast experience and knowledge to the firm.

Before joining SGA, Gregg spent nearly two decades as an officer at a well-respected engineering and sustainability consulting firm. Previously, Gregg practiced law and provided public policy guidance for clients in Washington, DC and Chicago, and served as an advisor to a United States senator on Capitol Hill. Gregg earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Law Review Associate Editor, and his undergraduate degree from Stanford University.

For Gregg, calling the firm home is more than a little poignant. Almost 100 years ago, his maternal grandfather owned a little candy store just up the block from the Studio Gang offices in Wicker Park, the very neighborhood in which Gregg was raised.

Gregg is a former board member of the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects and a former trustee of the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
