Arian Hakimi
Arian Hakimi approaches design as an experimental exercise with patterns, combined with meticulous exploration of materials, technique and skills. His vision is broad and diverse maneuvering from Skyscrapers [Retri_CSC 2019] to a hold in the hand clutch bag. He examines the capacity of complex geometries overlapping between various design disciplines. Arian probe the relationships between humans and objects, re-defining basic understanding of patterns to re-discover unthinkable possibilities.
Arian was born in 1983 in Tehran. His academic and professional journey started at University of Pune-India from 2003 to 2005, then he got transferred to University of Tehran where he received his B.Arch. in 2010. Upon graduation he moved to Barcelona to study advanced computational design morphologies at IAACUPC, alongside his studies, he initiated his Design/Research/Teaching program where he conducted over 19 international workshops collaborating with architects, fashion designers, engineers and artists, including intern program at Zaha Hadid Architects London in 2015.
Arian’s work has been featured in various design events such as Istanbul Design week, Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, Fuorisalone in Milan also Zaha’s final fashion show [The extraordinary Process] featuring designers like Iris Van Herpen and Stephen Jones at Gallery Maison Main Non London, alongside internationally acclaimed artists and designers.
