Anna Torriani is a founding partner and design principal of Pagnamenta Torriani Architects Planners LLP (APT), a New York-based Atelier and international practice.
Her expertise lies in the ability to analyze and synthesize each assignment.
A strong advocate for design excellence and sustainability in the public realm, Anna engages with the clients, researches their specific history, culture, geography, climate, needs, and translates the findings into an architectural concept in dialogue with the local heritage and environment.
Anna is involved in all design aspects of the studio. She led the Joseph G. Jabbra Library Complex in Jbeil and is currently working on a net-zero project in Africa.
Anna pursues her understanding of public space through APT’s Shaping Public Space (SPS) initiative launched at the 2016 Venice Biennale and through public engagement, having served on the Advisory Board for the United Nations Capital Master Plan in NYC, co-chaired the Public Architecture Committee of NYC’s AIA Chapter and co-chairing the ETH-Z Alumni Chapter in NY.
Anna has presented nationally and internationally at the: AIANY Center of Architecture, Schusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow, Venice Biennale, USI in Lugano, Bibliotheque Information Suisse and ALA Atlanta among other venues.
She is a registered architect in New York State, in Switzerland, and is a graduate of the ETH-Zürich
