Difficult? Founder of TopdeQ in 1989 was my first commercial venture into diverse disciplines and schools of design. Backed by an enticing and enthusiastic tradition of academia and fine arts in a large, loyal family, I have so much enthusiasm for music after 19 years studying classical piano, a decade of jazz composition, successful painter of lost or destroyed works of art, passionate commissions for a collection of individual and remarkable world typographers, ongoing search for large 19th century paintings of men wasting time at the waters edge and West Indian artists, lastly, works of art created by artists who killed themselves. Academia produced graduate degrees in aesthetic philosophy and phenomenology, art history and studio arts. First post grad thesis anchored my tireless interest in design, 'Thonet: the industrialization of aesthetic experience?' Magister philosophy Üniversität Wien. Magister Art History and Sociology from Albert Ludwig Üniversität Freiburg im Breisgau and French Literature, Sorbonne. Out of a lot of nothing I started writing for industrial development in the BRD, and in no time the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Principality of Liechtenstein and lots and lots of banks until I could get the capital for TopdeQ and in no less than 30 months was turning over 1m with a 23% pre-tax profit. Before I even had a check I was dynamiting a stone face of a promontory in the Lesser Antilles where I spent five years building and I fell in love with horticulture. I stood on two acres of rock and decided to begin trucking in top soil and bought a medium size machete and became more passionate than ever, even had to truck in water for three years. I loved life at this time and then came the building itch for a tough challenge resulting, boy oh boy, an unusually individual endeavor of a 140sqm tent next to a tropical boiling lake, an historical restoration of an hausemanian flat and so on. I sail, write many hours daily, lost my partner and withdrew socially, 50 or more countries in pursuit of art and architecture, materials, I never thought I could like my own company and Lhasa Apso Kamel. My name means, 'He who battles by still waters' . I've always dedicated myself to socially responsible engagement. TopdeQ in Germany represented 17 nationalities and inspiring individuals who would otherwise not find a job. On the smaller Caribbean islands I've established a youth symphony orchestra for kids who might never have seen an obo3 or French horn. The teachers come from all over Europe and volunteer. I've started 'Rainbow School's for spoiled ex-pats on the one side and then a majority of diverse kids, Rastafarians, refugees and remarkably talented little kids. Lastly, I interview and get to know graduate MD's and settle the total debt sum for women who passionately want to research, but otherwise would need to practice. And that is a waste of potential and promise. Oddly, this is the first time I write about myself online. I have no social media, only this. I am single and would like to meet a man to share this life. I am being so straightforward, why not? I think this is very funny and amusing. I lost my partner ten years ago and I am fed up with 'dog people'. Anyhow, I am challenging, iconoclastic, engaged and maybe a bit to quick in the brain. My ex always listened and looked at me, then he would say, "I know that what you are telling me makes perfect sense, but I have no idea what you want to tell me. Love you, Pasha, come here." And he would just hold me. Si vis vita, para mortem. If the doors of perception were opened, everything would appear as it is: infinite. W. Blake. If only I can grow' quieter, simpler, warmer. What a drag it is getting old. MICK
