Ziad Alonaizy is a graduate from the world-renowned and highly regarded Inchbald school of design in Eaton Gate. Previously an orthopaedic surgeon working for the NHS, Ziad decided to change careers after the refurbishment of his London apartment which received much praise. Having acquired a distinction in architectural interior design, Ziad has also won the Finchatton award for exceptional design for his final project. Since then he has worked for some of the world's top design firms such as Annie Stevens and Stephen Ryan Design and Decoration working both in luxury hospitality and residential design in Europe and the Middle East. Ziad is also very passionate about product design and has been developing a wealth of knowledge for materials and suppliers as well as visiting specialist artisans and manufacturers in Italy and in the UK. AEGIS 001 is his first completed piece; its elegant simplicity concealing a plethora of complexities. Marrying four different elements, it took a year in prototyping to achieve. AEGIS 001 debuted at Decorex for the Design week festival of September 2017. Ziad is currently prototyping other designs to be released soon. He is also working with a well-known high-end brand to create a group of home furniture and accessories to debut next year.
