Tobias Wulf was born 1956 in Frankfurt am Main, 1974 to 1981 architectural studies at the University of Stuttgart, 1981 diploma under Prof. Hans Kammerer, 1982 employed at Faller+Schröder in Stuttgart and Munich, 1982 to 1986 project leader at Auer+Weber in Stuttgart. Thereafter employed at the offices of Joachim Schürmann and Gottfried Böhm in Cologne and 1987 foundation of his own architectural practice in Stuttgart.

1987 to 1991 lectureship in design at the University of Stuttgart and from 1991 to 2022 Professor for building construction and design at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart. Competition jury member since 1988 and member of the architectural advisory board for the City of Freiburg i. Br. (2013-2018) and the City of Regensburg (since 2018).
