MIPA was founded in 1992 and its mission was to unearth the authentic and traditional techniques that characterized Marble Terrazzo tile production at the end of the 19th century.
Through a process of historical and stylistic research and staying true to tradition MIPA has developed a selection of the most beautiful floors of the era’s Liberty-style homes.

Natural raw materials and environmentally friendly processing produce unique top-performance handicrafts products with high tech-contents fully produced in Italy.

By means of the CUBA collection MIPA opens a new “traditional research”line:eleven decorative patterns mirroring the Cuban decorative tradition. It is a unique combination of cultural references, harmonies and atmospheres, leading to markedly contemporary imagery reinterpreting traditional styles. Seducing colours with a strong personality and expressive decorations are the characteristics of the CUBA line and lead to a new original vision combining and mixing past and present.

The first journey among Cuban decorations led to the creation of a new “research collection” which became part of the already very comprehensive MIPA archive. The satisfaction obtained pushed us to continuing in this relentless search for inspiration within the decoration world.

PUERTO RICO, a plunge into the colours and decorations of a country worth discovering. The Puerto Rico collection was also the springboard to research and develop a new, distinctly Caribbean colour palette. Thus MIPA continues on its quest to research, discover and renew itself by adding a new element to its “Graniglia” collections.
