Zumbühl Designstudio has many years of experience in furniture and interior design. Jakob Zumbühl and Andrin Häfeli combine creativity and technical know-how to offer design services for both consumer and industrial products, thanks to their technical skills acquired prior to their degree in Industrial Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
In January 2016, the foundation of Zumbühl Designstudio Ltd. marked a new phase in the firm's history. Andrin Häfeli joined the board of directors, consolidating the company's structure. The new entity inherited the activity of studio frieszumbühl, establishing itself in the heart of the historical industrial area of Winterthur. The large spaces of the industrial building offer an ideal environment for creative development and design experimentation.
The creative journey began in 2002, when Kevin Fries and Jakob Zumbühl, while studying at ZHdK, discovered a strong professional synergy that led them to develop their first product together. After working together on specific projects, they decided to found the Fries&zumbühl studio, characterised by complementary design approaches that contributed to their rapid success.
In 2010, Andrin Häfeli joined the team, bringing new energy and strategic expertise. Two years later, in 2012, the firm changed its name to studio frieszumbühl. In 2014, Kevin Fries decided to devote himself completely to his music career, leaving the running of the studio to Jakob Zumbühl and Andrin Häfeli, who continued together until the end of 2015.
Today, Zumbühl Designstudio continues to stand out for its ability to combine artistic vision and technical expertise, designing innovative solutions that meet the needs of the contemporary market.
