RigonSimonetti is an architectural office led by Francesco Rigon and Margherita Simonetti founded in 2019 in Vicenza.
Graduated at IUAV in Venice in 2018 with prof. Arch. Renato Rizzi, with whom they have both worked for several years as teaching assistants and collaborators for research, editorials and exhibitions projects.
Since the first period of activity, the office has participated in several design competitions in Italy where it received various awards; among these, in 2020, the first prize in the competition for the recovery of the Teatro Verdi di Terni (in collaboration with amaa office), now under construction. Among the main private assignments, the project for the restoration and recovery of a villa veneta in Costabissara (VI), now in the process of completion.
The office, from the beginning, has focused its research on the recovery of historic building heritage, through private assignments and design competitions, working on several typologies of building such as residential, manufacturing, office and cultural, constantly redefining the approach to the project in the search for an architecture where continuity with tradition and the search for the unexpected can find their balance.
